Child Relief

Daily thousands of children join the existing tens of thousands who are left homeless and alone in Durban, South Africa and Mumbai, India.

Crossroads Child Relief Programs target the most desperate and needy of these children – children and entire families living on the streets of Mumbai, India, AIDS orphans, and children living in the squalor of South Africa’s mushrooming squatter camps. These children are left to fend for themselves in an increasingly harsh and unrelenting world.

Crossroads Child Relief Programs include food distribution, feeding programs, and the establishment of Alpha Care Centres. The Alpha Care Centres provide children living in extreme poverty a preschool education (kindergarten), food, clothing, health and medical attention, and spiritual instruction.

Whether an AIDS orphan, a child born on or abandoned on the streets of Mumbai, or a child born into a squatter camp in South Africa their prospects for the future remains the same – bleak. Many die from neglect, abuse from strangers who prey on them, or from starvation. The “lucky” ones survive only to face soaring unemployment rates, often turning to prostitution or crime as a means of survival ... unless of course someone does something. That someone can be you!

Make a difference!
For just $1.00 (US Dollar) a day, you provide a child the chance to attend school, two healthy meals each day, access to medical care, and spiritual instruction. Your gift provides food for hungry children beyond the classroom - through the Crossroads feeding and food distribution projects. Won't you help change the world, one child at a time?
